Message to You From Jim:

I would like to thank you for your support over the past five years. On Tuesday, November 3rd, the City of Grand Rapids will hold a general election for the selection of a Third Ward  city commissioner. I am asking you to vote for me so that I can continue to mature the important initiatives I have begun.

During my current term, I have provided leadership which introduced a new approach to economic development  that focuses on using excess public land to attract investment dollars and jobs. I have participated in helping the city to restructure its administration according to the principles of “Lean Management.” I have been active in facilitating  community involvement in protecting the good community life and reducing crime. I have represented the City of Grand Rapids as the Mayor Pro Temp; on liaison committees with the Public Schools, The Rapid and Area Aging Boards.

I want to continue to represent you as your city commissioner. If elected I will be able to continue the work I have begun on the initiatives I  have cited above. I will also continue to help guide our city through this challenging  period in our history. I am asking you to vote on Tuesday, November 3rd, to re-elect me as your city commissioner.
