Commissioner Jim White was  appointed  to fill a vacant commission seat. He then was elected to the seat two years later. Since then, he’s been an able advocate for people in the city and is an excellent steward of the city’s resources. James (Jim) White has earned another term.

Mr. White is a former school administrator, college professor and computer company head. He understands the need to diversify the city’s economy beyond traditional manufacturing, and he is sensitive to the link between a thriving public school system and a vibrant city.

Jim White is a forward thinking person with a solid understanding of realities which face urban cities. He continues to use his position to help guide the city in energy conservation, neighborhood development, and economic prosperity. The solutions he provides on the city management is needed now more than ever.
